Is this due to the increased difficulty of getting their QB target in the draft I wonder? Chip probably thought he got trumped due to Baalke's reticence to pull the trigger or something.

Considering all the retirements, FAs leaving, and all the do nothing's they drafted the past two years, I don't think even many SF fans realize how critical this draft is for them. They absolutely have to knock it out of the park this time with players that can contribute right now or your legit fucked for years to come and we're talking about Baalke and Kelly. Browns of the west coast kinda fucked.
