There is some good defensive talent on the Giants but you can say that about 20+ teams in the league. When your defense give up 1 touchdown and you lose the football game then its gotta be on the QB
Don't really disagree, but that was a very good defense just 1 year ago. Alex Smith had plenty of chances at the same time. Many of which were open. If he converts in the Redzone, the Giants are completely irrelevant in this game. The offense essentially scored on itself to lose, that is sad.

So much false hope through the first half of the season. Unreal how this team fell apart.

Some of this is just small sample sizes.

I don't think Alex Smith will be this bad the rest of the year but I also dont think 'MVP level' Alex Smith is coming back, either.

Meh, the NFL is pretty crappy so you never know what happens, but this team certainly won't be picked to do much unless they show something compelling down the stretch.

Probably, I wouldn't expect the defense to be as bad as it was in the first half either.

With the loss, I am rooting for the Pats. Bye week you can flush down the toilet. Possibly the 3 seed as well just because the Jags play nobodies.

LB Reggie Ragland, 82.9 overall grade

In good news, Ragland is starting to morph into a respectable looking ILB that can help on defense. Probably more helpful longterm as the Chiefs trudge along their mini-rebuild, but if it keeps trending positively that's one less hole on defense to worry about.

Starting to look like Veach made a good move with Ragland the longer he's out there. At least one thing to positive about that can translate to next year.
