It's disappointing. I think he was making a pretty good case for making the team out of Spring Training with how he was pitching. I'll say this much... he didn't make excuses for it. He didn't try to pass it off as a tainted supplement or anything like that. He knows he screwed up and he knows it was his fault. That doesn't excuse his doing it in the first place, but it's not something you see much of from players who get caught using PEDs.

If I had to guess it looks like Furbush and Olson will be the lefty relievers. This may open the door for Beimel to get a look at this point even though he shelled this spring with the Rangers.

Agreed. Another long shot option is Felix Doubront who was given his release by Cubs. He is only 27 and had some good games with Red Sox not all that long ago. Worth a flyer even if we could stash him in Tacoma to start the season.

Im good with it being Furbush and Olson for the LH relief. I wish we had a little more depth at LH relief though

I wanted him too. I am just glad the guys that were projected as the starting rotation have stayed healthy through spring training. To be honest I was expecting one of them to go down with a minor injury and be out for a month to start the season. Knock on wood. knock on lots of wood
