So i broght this up early in the season when Segura went out with a hammy and Felix tweaked his groin so I'll revisit it. But what in the blue hell were these guys doing in ST? What kind of training program do they have? Look, I like Rick Griffin as he's been w/ the M's since the dinosaur age but what the hell man? These injuries we're seeing are from ROUTINE plays, like swing the bat or diving back to the bag.

What the hell is going on? Either they are having shitty luck or ALL of them were ill-prepared for the season.

I really wonder what kind of training regimen they have for these guys and I brought up Griffin because when KGJ left Seattle for Cincy he was riddled with injuries due to the fact that he was "lazy" and the move from turf to grass hurt him.

Idk... these kind of injuries shouldn't be happening but they do. Maybe it's that kind of year.

The one change I really want to see some time soon is that the pitching coach, whoever it is, gets thrown out on his ass!

This isn't on the coaches, this is straight up on the players plain as day!

Felix's shoulder starts to hurt during the game? BS he would've felt it warming up. He should've spoke up during warm ups and be scratched......

I got 3 letters for you...WBC. Don't blame M's for spring training when 12 or 13 guys were gone for some or most of spring training. I hate the WBC.

It is the players. The core guys are aging and dropping fast. The younger guys... well i think Dipoto was/is banking on upside so thats why he brought them in. Aside from Haniger, Motter, and Segura the other guys have been busts. Especially the bullpen.

You're right. I forgot about the WBC, it has to be a factor.

I wish I could forget about it. Once Smyly went down, I became a major hater of it. It just screws with the routine. Ug!

I think it's ridiculous to have it a few weeks before he regular season and not expect these guys to play hard thus risking injuries. if they wanna do something like this, then shut down the ASG once every 4 year and have it or whatever. This isnt the WC or Olympics where guys trained for them. To have guys sits all offseason then jump into competitive baseball is stupid. Of course they have the option of not going to the WBC but it's their choice but at the same time it screws everything up.

They need to get rid of the WBC... was never a fan

Aro busted this year, Powell busted last year. There must be a culture of PEDS and stupidity in that Rainier clubhouse.

I'm not sure Powell is ready. But Motter's batting average is dropping like a toad in water so maybe Powell is going to get a few starts and Taylor's going to ride the pine for a while, while Edgar gets his head back on straight.
