Ranking College Football's Top 25 Toughest Schedules for 2017

This site has Alabama #10 toughest, and yet the article in the OP has Alabama as top10 easiest playoff path.
The one you sight considers all teams' schedules. The one I put up was only among "contenders" as considered by the writer. His list of contenders is questionable IMHO. They could but I don't consider Miami, K-State, Notre Dame, etal to be serious contenders at this point. Mayber they get on a roll and make the writer look good. But...

And at the end of the year some of those "softies" on team's schedules will turn out better than perceived at the beginning . And some of the "thoughies" will turn into crap before the year is over.

I don't know that there's much to write about in the SEC this year. Alabama is obviously elite, but nobody else is even worthy of a top 10 ranking. Auburn could be good if Stidham works out, and LSU should be solid yet unspectacular and offensively limited as they have been, but I'm not seeing much from the likes of A&M and Ole Miss. Also, it looks like you miss Florida and Georgia, who should be the top dogs in the East.
Luckily for the SEC they don't have to actually play each other. 14 member conference with an 8 game conference schedule.

Reasons why 8 "legitimate" playoff contenders have the most favorable schedules to get to the CFP.

Top 8 most favorable schedules.
1. Washington
2. Miami
3. Wisconsin
4. Kansas State
5. Penn State
6. Louisville
7. Georgia
8. Alabama

WTF...last year Wisconsin had the most brutal path. Now they have the 3rd most favorable. Washington is same/same as last year per the article. Gotta love unbalanced schedule difficulty.

8 teams that could ride favorable schedules to the 2017 College Football Playoff | FOX Sports

Of course these will change as some of these opponents that look tough will crap the bed ala Notre Dame, Sparty last year. And some opponents that look easy will turn out to be much tougher ala Colorado, etc. What say ye o CFB debating brethren?
Kansas State has to play OU though?

Washington better not drop a single game or they're probably out with that OPC schedule.
They could do much the same as last year if they drop to a ranked team (not likely many on that schedule) and end up playing USC in the CCG and win. Even that is no slam dunk way into the top 4. There are even scenarios where they could go undefeated and not make the top 4 with that soft schedule, particularly if USC doesn't make the CCG and whoever does isn't highly ranked.

Thank god this light bullshit schedule is the last one.
