Again... share a point cause the insults do nothing to help in a conversation. Im in a different world cause I think all these new rules have to do with the CTE problem in part.
What brand of tissue do you use? I want to buy stock in it.

Insult me all you want... its just pointless.
That's not an insult. It's a simple question. I'm always looking for a good investment opportunity. Most frequently used consumables are a good strategy.

Its the body weight that is only to try and injure the QB. Thats how Rich Gannon had his career ended.

Everything Ive read said the NFL is coming up with all these new rules to keep them from getting sued for billions. What does it have to do with? Its not just this sack its the lowering your head to tackle rule which has been text book tackling technique for decades.
Lowering your head, or more specifically the crown of your helmet has not been textbook tackling technique far at least 40 years. You're taught to see your target and hit through it with your eyes on that target, unless you have eyes on the top of your head and holes on the crown of the helmet, you don't lower your head. Lowering your head and using the crown of your helmet puts the tackler in a vulnerable position.

It explains why it's a penalty in the tweet. That stated, the rule is crap.

That’s not what I meant and I worded it poorly. It’s getting lower then your opponent is what I meant. But what we are arguing is why is the NFL instituting these rules. I said it’s becaise of the CTE injuries and linked a whole bunch of articles validating my point.

Right. CTE is part of it, or more specifically, head injuries and injuries to star players. The biggest thing they're trying to do is cover their asses from litigation, just like every other business, "we trained them not to do that", they need to cover their asses to keep their dollars.

It's a crap rule. I could see if driving a player into the ground was a penalty, but landing on them being called a penalty is crap.

Look man. I was as disappointed as anyone when Rodgers went down. But it was just an unfortunate hit. When you are tackling someone, you are SUPPOSED to throw your weight into them. That is how you knock them off their feet. In doing so, you have to over balance yourself, and that often means you land on top of them. That is just how tackling works.

This rule is stupid
