By Cal saying move it to the Fall, he's essentially saying the regular season winner. That's pretty convenient if you're the one winning the SEC regular season every year.

Although I don't like the idea, he isn't wrong about the conference tourney being irrelevant when it comes to post season seeding... for the most part.

Of course you will have the teams who get hot at the right time and win a conference tourney which helps get them into the NCAA tourney but I overall, I have always felt the overall body of work is what should be looked at.

SEC also has unbalanced regular season schedules, since they have 14 teams.
