ok, then it was since 1970 asshole
Boys boys..lets be reasonable here. In today's world quarreling over dates seems rather pointless when there is a perfectly good stable of idiots that reside here. Oh, and I am not talking about myself. I mean OTHER PEOPLE

Wow, this is like the t'Official Baseball Ignorance Thread. Let's see, we've got:

1. Jack Morris deserving of a HOF induction
2. 300 wins being used as a standard for who should and should not be elected into the Hall
3. A debate on whether or not 250 wins should serve as the new 300 win mark- very important guys, we need to determine that
4. Completely arbitrary standards used with different metrics to determine who gets into the Hall
5. Complete disregard to fluctuations in hitting and pitching performances across different era's

Oh, and my favorite

6. The Diamondbacks beat the Yankees in the WS in 2002

To be fair, that 2001 series was the first series ever to go into November. It felt like 2002

Era+ which i cited covers one point
300 has always been the watermark like 3000 hits.

I dont think its the years as much as its starting pitchers rarely seeing the 7th inning anymore, nevermind the 8th or 9th, so a lot of these W/L are so dependent on other pitchers

Except if you are Corey Kluber
