Range is questionable and his kickoffs left a lot to be desired. He was always overrated- yes. College anything is not to be trusted at face value- even kickers. Completely unworthy of being drafted in the first 5 or so rounds, let alone the 2nd after trading up for him.

I'm legit shocked by his failure . Dude was probably the best kicker in CFB history and unlike other positions kicking is the exact same in college as NFL. If anything there's probably more pressure kicking atva blue blood traditional power like FSU than there is kicking for a bleh team like Tampa

Lol. Well regardless there are far more people in this country concerned with FSU football than Tampa football. I just can't inagine it's "pressure" that did him in. Something has to be mechabically out of whack

Got a friend that's a big FSU fan and that's all I heard about the guy, how great he was. The numbers don't really back that up. He was definitely overrated.

While the guy was an All American in his 2013 and 2014, he wasn't in his his final season, not first team or second team. In 3 seasons at FSU, he only made 5 FGs of 50 or longer, with 53 being the longest. In his last FSU season, he was just 4-for-8 on kicks of 40 to 49 yards. Consistently employed NFL kickers have to make field goals in the 40-49 range about 80 percent of the time (every year). His KOs weren't great either. Not just in KO distance, his final season ncluded 4 KOs out of bounds and the infamous short kick in FSUs Peach Bowl loss that set up a game sealing Houston TD.

While he never missed a PAT in college and never missed a FG inside of 40 yards me was 3rd in College history in FG %, those short kicks are not what make great NFL kickers--they consistently make longer FGs and can do it with the game riding on the outcome. With that in mind, Aguayo was nothing special, let alone worthy of a 2nd round pick.

The guy was great in college, but it's way different in the NFL with the pressure dealt around you. I hope he practices non-stop to get better and get a second chance. I don't think it's over for him.
