Utah has a hockey team named the Grizzlies (which is probably why you suggested this), but Utah could also just trade with New Orleans because Utah is the Beehive State.

I've grown accustomed to Energy Solutions Arena, but I don't know if Kings' fans will ever love their new arena's name: Sleep Train Arena. I already know there will be headlines like "Kings put to sleep _____ in Sleep Train Arena" and in blowout losses, they'll remark how the Kings never woke up.

I think Sleep Train is fine. There's several amphitheaters named sponsored by Sleep Train. One in Wheatland, CA. And the other in Concord, CA.

Not to mention that the Shoreline amphitheater in Mountain View, CA has Sleep Train as a sponsor too (just not a primary sponsor).

If they can be a sponsor for concert amphitheaters, they can be a sponsor for a basketball venue.

Plus Sleep Train is a local Sacramento-area business. They appear to be a successful business, so that's a good thing.

It's just a corporate name, no different than ARCO or Fed Ex.

One-line jokes will get old a few weeks into the season.

It sounds funny to me and I won't hear it enough to get used to it... unless you hit me with it every few weeks naturally in the middle of sentences. I would call it the STA (Es-Tee-Ay) like I call the Energy Solutions Arena, the ESA. I have no problem with them using it, I just thought it's a weird sounding name because I've never heard of it. I'm glad it was a local company, good for them (Sleep Train and Sacramento).

Wow. On sports stations in California, as well as a few FM stations I think, they have ads for Sleep Train this and Sleep Train that. There's always "mattress price wars".

So yeah, I think they buy ads on all kinds of radio stations.

Ah, I don't live in California and don't listen to radio much, so I didn't give them much chance for exposure to me. Internet is so difficult to interpret things, I hope I didn't insult you.

You know those commercials that say "we didn't invent the ____, we made the _____ go faster" or a variety thereof? I saw a commercial that said "Dulcolax doesn't make you go, it just makes it easier to go." I get that it's trying to distinguish itself from being a laxative that makes you rush to the bathroom, but it sounded a bit like the above example in a weird way.
