I can't help but feel the kid made a huge mistake in leaving Notre Dame. It seems very likely he won't be the player he believed he would be coming out of high school and I have to believe a degree from Notre Dame would have served him better.

My thoughts too. I facepalmed when I saw the ticker on TV with this news. Kid needs someone to give him better advice or he needs to take the advice given because giving up on a Degree from ND is unfathomable to me.

This kid (I think of them all as kids) has a ton of talent. And lot of opportunities available to him, I don't see where UAB makes any sense at all. On any level.

I don't think he could cut it in the classroom at Notre Dame, the biggest reason for his transfer.

He's talented, we seen some glimpses of it last season. I think he'll be good at UAB, playing against lesser competition.
