The problem with Gallo is the shift and then sticking with the adjustments he was making at the beginning of the year in response to it, it's easier to just go back to his bad habits and forget about the effort it takes to adjust and make an effort up there and not just swing away

Would not be a sin to develop a bunt but otherwise hit away. With the shift he has to lift the ball. Still learning how to hit away are skills any player I would like to see utilize

The thing with Guzman is that he doesn't look overmatched up there, but he's certainly learning how to hit ML pitching and that's a heck of a learning curve, I think if they just let him struggle through it both will be better off long term, but he's definitely giving good ABs most of the time despite his struggles

I am not sure who gets picked off more. I just wonder about his baseball IQ. He has talent but that alone does not always get it done. You need the smarts to go with it.

At least there is awareness. So in response, I really don't know. Hitters must take responsibility too. It might be all on them. Really can't point finger with any certainty
