These reports always make me . Was Denver asking for too much? Why not just trade him for a 7th.Miami wanted to trade for him for a bit so it’ll be interesting if he ends up there
I think Miami backed out from what I can gather thinking maybe CJ gets released? Cdum could probably give you a better idea. These reports always make me . Was Denver asking for too much? Why not just trade him for a 7th.
I guess it's possible Elway asked CJ if he wanted to go to Miami and he said no, so as a favor they let him go the FA route.
Something odd was going on in Miami surrounding Juwan James. Talk was they were done with him and wanted to move on, but suddenly they did a 180. My guess is, after evaluating the T market and looking at the draft, they realized it wasn't worth trying to replace him with all the RB talent available in the draft. Also, they may have been hedging on Denver cutting him, and here we are. These reports always make me . Was Denver asking for too much? Why not just trade him for a 7th.

The Broncos wanted an OT if memory serves.Fair, but wouldn't a 7th to Denver be a better to secure CJ rather than giving CJ the option of talking to every interested team.
RB1*This CJ Anderson news surprises me. Is there a knock on this guy? Would be a good third piece for a Philly 3-headed monster running attack.

OK, fine but again if Denver wanted James, and the Dolphins said no, our best offer is a 7th. Wouldn't that be better than simply releasing him. They didn't want a 7th, they wanted Juwan James.
Miami might not have offered a 7th, I have no idea. Miami could have just hedged their bet on him getting released and signing with them outright. They've got arguably the worst starting RB situation in the NFL so he'd be a day 1 starter almost guaranteed.OK, fine but again if Denver wanted James, and the Dolphins said no, our best offer is a 7th.
