Brett Favre will be in Green Bay next month. The steakhouse bearing his name will not.
Brett Favre’s Steakhouse, 1004 Brett Favre Pass, will change its name to Hall of Fame Chophouse effective July 26. The Greater Green Bay Chamber will mark the name change with a ribbon cutting at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Dick Monfort, who owns the Colorado Rockies, and Favre teamed up to found Brett Favre’s Steakhouse in October 1998, 18 months after Favre led the Green Bay Packers to victory in Super Bowl XXXI.
General Manager Dennis Fenrick said Favre remains a co-owner along with Jo Buonavolanto.
Fenrick said the entire ownership group decided to change the name to better fit with the Titletown and Legends districts under development around Lambeau Field.
