Don't get me wrong the dude is super fast and his numbers aren't bad BUT...........

He should be catching more passes then he does imo. Last nights game was a prime example. It just seems like he "limp wrists" trying to catch the long ball from Brady. There is no way we truly can tell if he would have caught that deep pass but to me it didn't look like he tried as hard as he should have.. Didn't really even extend his arms out all that much...

I've never played football so I shouldn't talk, I know and stop arm chair QBing it but I seen him catch passes and drop them and should catch more than he does

Thoughts?

Yes he does have over 1,000 yards and 7 TDs and we should be very happy with that and perhaps I am expecting more from him but I think (and WEEI this am) said the same thing

Yes it has... Perhaps we are being spoiled with him and are expecting too much but still

i think its that he has the oppertunity for more, u cant be mad about his output, but he could be 1500 yards and 12td

point is NE was smart to after BC from the Saints…hellva playmaker w/ great hands.

as for Wheaton, he is lightning fast as well with great hands…Steelers used him as a slot man, not Wheaton's greatest use of talent as he was a great WR in the PAC12. Why go back to college? For the #'s of course.

well that and both BC and Wheaton bleed orange-n-black.

Gratz to NE for advancing yet again to the AFC Champ game.

I'm with you. That one play he nedds to lay out for. Then there was one that was up for grabs where he very rarely seems to come down with it.

Yeah I just don't know how to truly think of him. I mean like I said he has over 1,000 yards but it just seems like he doesn't give it his all (regardless of what BB says)

Needs to work on his routes, not a very polished route runner. Troy Brown said he's too slow into his breaks due to his hand pumping/juke move... and he's timid going for the ball.

Great speed, but still a bit of a project.

That's the word I was looking for! He really does look timid trying to catch the ball when players are near him or where he has to "reach out" for it

There are a lot of guys who just can't get beyond routine, no matter how talented or gifted they are. Cooks appears to be one of those guys who doesn't want to impact the ground below him. He doesn't like contact either. He's run out of bounds many a time when DA or JE or Hogan will turn back inside and get 5,6,7 yards more. Troy Brown says he's tight, can't relax his body and just doesn't want to give it up.

I thought it looked like he slowed a bit then tried accelerating again once he realized he was the target.

Shouldn't he have known he WAS the target though?
