Lang is getting paid almost $6M this year. That's at least a couple mil more than Teddy would've given him to stay. I'm thinking if TJ wants an ATV, he's got the pocket change to go pick one up and still come out well ahead financially.

The real reason Lang will wish he stayed in GB is because... honestly, what are his chances of winning a Superbowl with the Lions?

Lang signed a 3 year 28.5 mill contract. He's making more than 6 per season however you are right that he isnt hurting for cash.

You're right, that's an average annual value of well over $6M through the duration of his contract. However, I specified this year in my comment. This year his base salary is $3M + $2.66M signing bonus + $0.2M roster bonus.

NFL contracts are often back-loaded because they're not guaranteed - and Lang's is no exception. As it stands now, Lang is the highest-paid player on the Lions roster in 2018 and the 3rd-highest in 2019. [Stafford's contract is up at the end of this year and doesn't factor in for those years at this point.]

He is still making 11.2 in cash. He gets the bonus all upfront and its cap hit is split up between the years. Not trying to split hairs. Just dont think he will miss the ATV lol. Although Rodgers is supposedly a pretty good guy so it wouldnt surprise me if he sent one to Lang as well for prior service.

If he sent one to Lang for prior service, maybe he loosened a wheel or something.

I didn't know the signing bonus was paid all up front, but split on the cap hit. Learnt sumpn. :thumb:

And yeah, Lang could buy an ATV for everyone on the Lions roster and still have plenty enough left to fill a swimming pool with $100s.

Yeah but getting a free Polaris from Rodgers is so much better than buying one yourself, even if you are rich.

Maybe he'll give me one if I go fix his computer or have my wife fondle his balls or something.
