Blind IPA/DIPA Taste Test

Just had a blind IPA/DIPA taste test this past weekend with some friends, so I figured I'd share. We actually had some of the heavier hitters in the country, which was fortunate timing. 11 beers overall, here's how they stacked up:

1. Dinner (Maine Brewing, #3 DIPA in America) - 9.525/10
2. Hop Juju (Fathead Brewing #40 DIPA) - 9.5/10
3. Hoptologist (Knee Deep Brewing) - 9.225/10
4. Julius (Tree House Brewing #1 IPA in America) - 9.2/10
5. Second Fiddle (Fiddlehead Brewing, #47 DIPA) - 9.125/10
6. Alter Ego (Tree House Brewing, #5 IPA)) - 8.6/10
7. Heady Topper (The Alchemist, #4 DIPA) - 8.55/10
8. Chillwave (Great Lakes Brewing) - 8.35/10
9. 120 Minute (Dogfish Head) - 8.25/10
10. West Coast DIPA (Green Flash) - 7.95/10
11. Hopslam (Bell's Brewing, #34 DIPA) - 7.75/10

Had a friend back out that was going to be bringing Bodhi (Columbus Brewing Company, #29 DIPA) and Myrcenary DIPA (Odell Brewing), which both would've been great additions.

Overall, the biggest surprises were Hop Juju at #2 and Hopslam last. Also, Hoptologist was just a random last second addition from one of my friends.

Was also fortunate enough earlier in the day to get to try a Bright (Tree House, #59 DIPA) and Lunch (Maine Brewing, #23 IPA) before the tasting started.
