Well that was intention of the Heisman. The trophy now goes to the best player that touches the football on a top 25 team. OL, DL, and LBs need not apply
You can't have a Heisman bust if you don't have a Heisman

People make these lists all the time, but they really have nothing in common.

The NFL and College are two totally different games.

The Heisman is not a trophy naming the next great NFL Player. It is a trophy naming
the best college football player of the year.

Problem is they give it to the QB of a great team usually, instead of the actual best college football player. Hence why so many busts.

That's true also.

Paul Hornug (sp?) was probably the last Heisman Winner, that became a household name in the NFL.
Won multiple titles with the Packers, and won the Heisman playing on a 2-8 college team
his Senior Year

The list doesn't really make any sense anyway . There are a few guys on the list who have mediocre careers ranked ahead of guys who had no careers. Ty Detmer was in the league 14 years for fucks sake

Still peeved McFadden didn't win it that year due to being a Sophomore, then a sophomore wins it the next year

once they ran the wildcat with him to beat LSU they should've just handed him the trophy.

That was one of the weakest Heisman fields in history.
