Wow. I thought Kimbrel could be dealt at the deadline, but I never thought they would be able to unload BJ (Melvin) Upton in any package. I guess they found one...
I need to read up on the Padre prospects involved now...

Yeah getting rid of Melvin Upton Jr and getting a top ranked prospect, and all it really cost us is a closer, not a front line starter, a closer is phoning it in.

Please, we may not be a great team this year, but we came out of this deal smelling like roses.

Braves. I agree with the approach. Yes, losing Kimbel was huge, but rebuild. In time for the new stadium.
They are clearing salary and "a sad season or two is not a bad thing" in my opinion. Not a Braves Fan. I went to a family reunion 3000 miles away, flew into Atlanta, went to the stadium, glad to visit it, BUT, well below average Stadium, I hear they are 'gearing up' for the next wave. I support that. GET RID OF DEAD WEIGHT. Build to the future. With that, Go Mariners. as we have not accomplished shit, YET! Go Mariners.
