There is no reason a team that won 20 games because their conference is shit deserves in over teams that played in strong conference and played tough teams losing games. But we’ll agree to disagree.

You are responding to a guy who called Harvard a good win lol

Damn you're right. BC beat Duke. Michigan State lost to them

Give BC the 2 seed please

Oh boy....:L

Rhode Island beat Creighton last year in the tournament. Rhode Island is a good basketball team. The weakness of their division isn't their fault. The weak OOC schedule, that's a different story, but their OOC schedule wasn't that weak this year. Nevada, Seton Hall, Virginia and Alabama were all ranked at some point this year and more than likely all tournament bound (sans Bama maybe). Then, they played and beat 2 tournament bound teams in Iona and Charleston, and possibly a 3rd tournament team in Providence. They also played and beat 2 teams that won their respective conference regular season titles. Only crap teams they played were in their own conference, Brown, and Holy Cross.

Rhode Island was also ranked as high as 16th this year. They beat Georgetown. No way Georgetown rolls over Rhode Island.

I don't think, if you are sub .500 in conference play, you deserve to be in the tournament. Sorry, that's not good enough in my book.

@Terry Rode

Minny won by 12 at Providence

Rhode Island only won by 7 at home against PRovidence

Gophers roll Rhode Island on a neutral floor.

Wait???? Gophs beat Bama and RI didnt?? Might be a 30 pt blow out

Rhode Island is better than half the weak ass Big East. Rhode Island is better than half the weak ass Pac-12. Rhode Island beats teams like Providence and Seton Hall, you bet they can beat a team like Georgetown, Minnesota, Marquette or any mid-level power 5 conference team.

Anytime you can beat a conference champion, that looks good on any resume, I'd think.

Looks like Marquette is dancing this year!!

Took down Vermont!!!

Why did you compare the BE and the Pac-12??

Marquette beat both those teams

and swept Creighton who you just threw a parade for RI beating last year lol

Why did you compare the BE and the Pac-12??

Those are major conferences in Basketball. They are considered "tough conferences" aren't they? Isn't that why USC is considered in the tournament when a team like Middle Tennessee state isn't? Because of their "tough and weak conferences". Big 12 was weak this year and I'm sure Rhode Island could beat OU.

Beat Seton Hall twice as many times as Rhode Island!!!
Well, when you lose to Georgia, Depaul, don't make it out of the 2nd round in your conference tournament and are 9-9 in conference play, you usually gotta do more than just beat Seton Hall twice to get in the tournament, don't you?

Pac 12 blows.

BE is getting 60% of their league in as locks.

Not comparable. BE is always one of the best 3 in metrics

Beat Creighton twice???

Not really advocating for Marquette....just proving your nonsense wrong.

Marquette basically proved this year they can't beat 1-2 seeds.....usually get rolled

but performed well against fellow fringe tourney teams. The Depaul loss was bad.....but thats 1.

Big East is getting 6 teams in this year. Congrats. One of the best conferences of the year. Rhode Island beat 2 of those 6 teams. Rhode Island is better than you think.

Georgia loss was bad, that's 2. No real good wins aside from Seton Hall when they were #13.

My nonsense, plain and simple, is that Rhode Island can beat good teams and they've proven it. They are better than you've giving them credit for and mid-major teams who only have 5-7 losses all year should be given serious consideration come tournament time over power 5 double digit loss teams who are sub .500 in conference play. It would actually create some competition in basketball and make winning games just that much more important.

Please compare Georgia to Harvard lol. Georgia cant be a bad loss and Harvard a good win lol

For the record it was a bum loss in my opinion. But we were shorthanded that game.
