I still think this team has some fight left in them. Call me crazy but I can see a deep run into the B1G tourney this weekend, something just feels right.

Having said that, if we lose to NW, I'm putting away all Hawkeye gear until football season starts.

I feel Iowa handles NW - too many match-up problems for NW - and gets beat my MSU. MSU will play physical from the opening tip and Iowa won't handle that very well.

Yeah, I'm just at a loss of words, usually it's the other team shooting lights out in these past several games. Tonight it just seemed like Iowa didn't know who they were as a team in the slightest.

Can't afford to have any upsets that steal at at-large bid from Iowa. I think Iowa's resume is too strong to not get in. But any major upsets will hurt Iowa's chances and put them in the NIT - again.

I agree, but if you look at their body of work, it is high, then again, the last 3+ weeks shows a team in a serious downfall...if I am the NCAA committee, how do I not consider that? I have to see the horrible failings, the losses and essential lack of defense and such and see who else out there is comparable...essentially putting Iowa in at this point guarantees a win to their foe in the first round. If you fill out a bracket, you don't put Iowa in to advance to the round of 32.

It's disgusting how far we've fallen. Totally mental and a complete disappearance of guys like White and Oglesby. Iowa didn't feel like working the ball inside tonight and when you're only hitting 30% from the field against a slow down team like NW, you're not gonna get enough shots to make up for it.

End of season momentum DOES matter and is a big factor when deciding who's in and who's out. Taking all things into consideration, I don't think Iowa gets an NCAA bid this year. Frankly, they don't deserve it. Never in my life seen a basketball team get progressively worse with each game. Our best game was the 1st game and from then until now this team is not even half as good.

Momentum is a big deal going into Selection Sunday. Iowa doesn't have any of it. The best possible seed that Iowa could get is a #10. I think that would be a very generous seed. More probable is Iowa getting a play-in game as a #11 or a #12 seed. Then getting to face a #5 or a #6 IF Iowa wins their first round game.

This team looks a lot like last years team.

Wouldn't surprise me if Iowa lands in the NIT again this year. But, this team doesn't make a run like last years team.
