Need a flex in PPR

Howard vs Pitt. Banged up and was limited last week.
Gio Bernard vs GB. New OC. But, Mixon and Hill still there.
J.J Nelson vs Dallas. Great match-up, but is now showing as Q.
Higgins vs Indy. Another great match-up, but who is throwing the ball.

Just a side note: Howard in Chi, are we looking at a Langford situation like last yr. Is this an injury thing, or is gonna become 2nd fiddle.

Just looked it up. It sounds like its one of those deals where he's listed as questionable because "probable" doesn't exist anymore. If he doesn't practice at all, you might wanna look elsewhere and of that group, I might actually go Higgins.

i think howard still gets his work, yeah cohen eats some with pass catching but hes lining up primarily as a receiver..............

hes not built like a rb, he gets some carries but some of that is howard is dinged up, PGH isnt the d to see if howard is back to full health , he hasnt been practicing...

u have to say nelson bc u know he cna do it.........otherwise id say higgins

Nelson, has a hammy pull, see how he practices today. Does he play, aggravate it and leave in-game?
Howard, shoulder, must investigate practice. 15-20 carries, I don't care about his slow start.
Higgins, I feel like this is a Crowell het right game... safe to say, the Browns are wide open on projections.
Gio, I'm not privy to Mixon pass blocking reports... check them out, if he's struggling, Gio could be on the field a lot this week. Hard to trust Gio though.

No Funchess at this point, but he did cross my mind.

Maybe grab Funchess as a stash, but i wouldn't start him over those guys he's had opportunities before and hasn't stepped up(well maybe over Bernard)

Funchess is not that good. Really don't get the love here. Cam Newton is one of the least accurate passers in the league and I really worry about the Panthers offense with him running not less and Olsen out. Funchess is not replacing Olsen. The guy can't seperate from coverage.

Highest upside?

Probably Nelson. That said, none of those options are remotely safe this week. Assuming Howard plays, I would still probably roll with him, but wouldn't expect more than 6-10 points in standard scoring. I do think Bears/Pittsburgh should be somewhat close in Chicago. The Bears defense is better than people think and Pittsburg tends to struggle on the road.

as for Carolina WRs - Russell Shepard is an interesting stash option - was buried behind Odell, Landry, and Rueben Randle(was a good college player) at LSU, went undrafted, but now on the team. Funchess hasn't been reliable at all in his multiple chances to step up. Not counting him out, since Olsen leaves a lot of targets out there, but if you're throwing darts, might as well toss this guy's name into the list.

I'd rank 'em this way. ...
JJ (quads can be tricky but if he suits up he's the best of the bunch)
Higgins (11 targets is hard to ignore. Kizer locked in on him last week - rooks tend to have a fav and he seems to be the one for him)
Howard (simply better chance to score than Gio - doubt he becomes Langford 2.0)
Gio (not sure what to expect here with new coordinator)
