To put in a pancake... Apples, blueberries, strawberries or raspberries....

For waffles I'd probably sautee the fruit and use it as a topping...

Of course fried chicken is a nice topping for waffles as well :suds:

Most pancakes are too rich for my taste. Unless they are buckwheat pancakes from Pancake Pantry in Nashville, TN. I love those! The only fruit I would add to pancake or waffle batter would be blueberries.

Nothing special. Mostly berries. Just slowly bring very little water, some sugar and your berries to a boil, and cook until you get the consistency you are looking for. You can have it thick or thin. If you're too lazy to buy fresh, just buy frozen to keep on hand.
