12 tm, PPR, picked 4th overall
score QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, Flx, DST

round picked in parenthesis

QB Rivers (11)
QB Carr (13)
QB Dalton (14)
RB Zeke (1)
RB McKinnon (3)
RB R Jones II (5)
RB Hyde (7)
RB Burkhead (8)
RB Joe Williams (20)
WR K Allen (2)
WR M Jones Jr (4)
WR Crabtree (6)
WR Agholor (10)
WR Taywan T (16)
WR A Wilson (18)
WR Amendola (19)
TE Burton (9)
TE ASJ (15)
DST Denver (12)
DST KC (17)

Considering the inexpensive capital spent at QB, think I got a good group - zero studs, but if these 3 can spread out their good games, won't be an issue. I think this is my best ball strategy - if I get one of the top QBs, only get 1 backup, if I wait, nabbing 3 to mitigate the risk. (Rivers was 10th QB taken, Carr 17th, Dalton 26th)

Really like my RBs, knew I was getting a stud in the top 4, and had the luxury of waiting to see which one fell. Stocked up early and often, plucking 5 out from the first 8 rounds with the 6th coming with my last pick. (McK 16th RB off board, Jones 24th, Hyde 32nd, Burk 40th, JoeWill 67th)

Weak at WR, late round dart throws in Taylor/Wilson/Amendola would be huge if any pan out. Lots of open targets in miami to go around, and I've never been sold on the Parker Hype Experience. Recent reports showing Taylor as starter in the slot for Tennessee - LaFleur comes from McVay's system that rewards smooth route runners over athletic freaks - - thinking Crowder/Woods&Kupp. (Allen 10th WR taken, Marv 19th, Crab 31st, Agholor 47th, Taylor 68th, Wilson 77th, Amendola 79th)

Potentially weak at TE as well, putting a good chunk of faith into the Nagy system with Burton. Just like his potential over the others once you get beyond those top few TEs if he truly runs the "Kelce role" in that offense. (Burton 9th TE taken, ASJ 24th)

Steals at DST imo, getting Denver (6th DST off the board) and KC (16th DST off the board) where I did.

your WRs are super weak... and don't love the upside of your "bench" receivers...

also, I think you paid too high of a price for your "bench" RBs, and you didn't really get any high ceiling guys...

oh and "bench"= PLANNED to be bench player- but since this is BB there is no bench...

Overall I think you could have done better.... but there is some nice strength...

Love the RB's, WR are a bit weak and think you did get some pretty good value at QB. My favorite part is you took McKinnon right where he has been falling to me in mocks I've been doing in my keeper league...........so I won't feel too crazy if I take him there now.

Marvin in the 4th? Is that where he goes? Can't say I agree with that.

marvin was pretty good last year.....

10 targets a game without Golladay. 5 with him. Idk, could be tricky to duplicate or improve on 1100 and 9.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Monkey, if you're happy with your team that's all that matters.

finally finished off a slow draft that took forever with some friends

14tm Best Ball, half PPR - 2RB 2WR 1Flx, pick #2 overall

Like this one a lot better, and it came from a 14 team draft - subjected to some positional runs a bit more with the extra 2 owners and being at one end of the draft order.

Could have built some more depth across positions, but just didn't like the options when my picks came up. Especially at TE or DST since I waited so long to address those two, but I still kinda like the backups I got.

QB - not sure what I'll get across the season with Brady, but I know there will be a handful of 3+ TD games. Expecting the down weeks to be worse with Winston, but in best ball format, I'll get those weeks he remembers how to play.

RB - Gurley/Mixon need to tow the line and keep this team chugging. Like the Duke/Foreman grabs where I got them, Wilkins/Conner need some things to break right for them to have roles, but decent depth nonetheless.

WR - Locked up 2 of Stafford's targets and Crowder to give a safe floor to go with TD bonanza Baldwin. Just hope Fuller/Moncreif/Ross will provide some occasional fireworks - anything from Callaway is just bonus, but I like the talent there, reminds me a bit of Antonio Brown (reach for comparison, I know)

TE - waited and still got 2 guys that I think should be involved. Had to grab Kittle when I did as the Hunter Henry news broke, and I picked before the HH owner got to react.

DST - love that the chargers got a steal for their already up and coming D in the draft. Bills D is by far their better side of the field, might be able to stymie some opponents this year. Don't see them winning any shootouts.

thoughts??
