Old School was definitely NOT animated...

Small Soldiers had heavy CGI, but I never considered that animated either. I would go with Marry Poppins as animated before Small Soldiers.

But speaking of hybrids...

Incredible Mr Limpet
Who Framed Roger Rabit

And in the Small Soldiers stretch department...

Donnie Darko
Joes Apartment
Forrest Gump
Star Wars (all of them)
...

Isn't Lion King the only one to win Best Picture? Or something like that. A lot ofvthe Pixar ones are really good, i love The Incredibles, but my all time favorite is Lady and the Tramp. My kids watched Ponyo probably 70,000,000 times (I'm rounding obviously, but probably rounded down not up)

I think Beauty and the Beast was the only animated film to be nominated for Best Picture.

It depends entirely on what you want out of the show.

Funny? South Park, Beavis and Butthead

Pixar? Inside Out is pretty profound actually. If you have a daughter, be prepared for the room to get dusty a couple of times.

The Batman series is decent...The Killing Joke was pretty good. Mark Hamill is pretty great as the joker.

Just kidding.

I have enjoyed many an animated movie over the years starting with the Disney classics of my youth and right through Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin etc. Since my kids are adults and I don't have grand kids yet the last cartoon movies I watched (and really enjoyed) was Despicable Me. I did see the sequel and # 3, but .....................
