And yet, The Patriots would probably beat any one of those NFC teams in the SB.

So what's your point?

Pat's beat 2 of the remaining 4 NFC teams ATL and NO both by 16 points, How did G&G boy do against Atl thIS YEAR? Oh yeah @Chewbaccer reminded me 0-3 vs them. Seattle is the last NFC team to win a SB.

I am not sure I agree. The Vikings played in a wussy azz conference this year with out Rodgers leading the pack and none of the other teams were all that daunting. They will lose this week to the Saints. Atlanta was a shell of itself from last year. And Philly well I was not sold but hats off the a great year.

NFCN has had either the worst or 2nd worse record in the NFL since the realignment, Detroit, Chic and Minn for the most part were weak before and GB had a cakewalk with Favre or Rodgers but catches up deeper in the playoffs with only 1 SB in 20 years. In the AFCS it was a cakewalk for the Colts but they were usually one and done in playoffs because of stiffer competition

Back in the 80's the AFC fielded some real dogshit... I believe the NFC reeled off some 13 straight superbowls, including some of the worst beatdowns ever in that game. Today's AFC pales in comparison.
So a suckiness we haven't seen in over 30 years. I'll settle for that.

This obviously isn't updated for the rest of the season FYI.The NFC ended with a 41-23 record against the AFC, which is a .641 winning percentage.
I rest my case. AFC was a disgrace.

Since realignment in 2002, the AFCE has the highest winning percentage and the highest winning percentage out of division than any other division in the NFL.

The rest of the league: Cupcakes!

We saw one of the worst levels of suckiness in 2004 with the NFC.

BOTH wild card teams that year were 8-8.

Listened to an interview with Joel Klatt yesterday and he dropped an interesting tidbit that according to someone who is a close friend of said subject, there is only one NFL job Nick Saban would ever leave Bama to take.

G-Men.

If I'm John Mara and I know this, I'm getting a couple of big bags of money together and heading to Tuscaloosa to find out.

I would definitely take him

But if he flopped badly, I wouldn't be surprised

Had the Dolphins not passed up Drew Brees in favor of Daunte Culpepper, he would still be coaching in Miami.

Great coaches are great coaches. Other than Belichick, name another great coach. And with his knowledge of the college game (like Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll in their first few years with Dallas and Seattle) - he has solid input on "who" is good.

I'd grab him in a heartbeat if I knew he wanted to coach my team. I just have to know he's 100% "in". And in his case and at this point of his career, it's the last stop and the last chapter in a career. Can't imagine anything less than being 100% "in" with him. But I'm damn sure making the phone call.

Yup, my 2 main concerns are the Miami thing of course, and the fact that he is a master recruiter who brings in the far superior talent to Bama than everyone else....obviously thats not an advantage he will have in the NFL, so it really will come down strictly to his coaching ability..Not that he isnt a great coach, the question is, is he that much better than everyone else when the talent field becomes even, and with the Giants, less talent than most teams right now

The difference between the top spot and the next division down is pretty large too.
