Agree. Just makes you wonder if Fox maybe gave him false hope? Will be interesting to see how short his leash is.

If anyone gave him false hope, it would be his agent. The deal is structured ostensibly as a one year, prove-it-deal. If he thought it was some long-term deal, he has only his agent to blame.

Glennon really has nothing to complain about. He hasn't EARNED anything to warrant an unquestioned starting position. Go out there and kick ass, and give the Bears something to consider, then you can have a little leverage in the conversation.

Nadir is an Arabic word. Meaning opposite of. As in opposite of Zenith. Which is also an Arabic word.

How Ryan Pace got the job of GM is truly astounding. The average NFL fan could have done a better job of drafting than that dimwit.
Once upon a time there was an idiot called Matt Millen, whom was hired by William Clay Ford and left the Lions as a very rich man. ...For the Lions it was John Madden, I believe that recommended Millen.

Not really a kings ransom....I heard on Mike and Mike its 13.5 mill guaranteed for the first year in which he will(should) start the entire season....then 2.5 and 2.5 for the next 2. So moneywise it isn't killing them but trading 3 picks to move up one spot for a guy who was 8-5? That's fucking retarded.

Yeah, I was talking about the draft picks. They were going to pay him regardless, not a big difference between 2nd and 3rd pick.

Just read, Chicago Bears invited Glennon to a draft party at Soldier Field to celebrate their picks.

They really went all out to sell it to the league they weren't taking a QB.

I read today -- SF thought Chicago was trading up to grab Solomon and had already started talking to teams to try and trade down to 4-12 range. They couldn't find any takers and were ready to take Reuben Foster at 3.

Lynch refused to believe Chicago would give Glennon that money and then pay a kibg's ransom to take another QB.
I wouldn't call that a Kings ransom. When the chargers traded from 3 to 2 to take ryan leaf, they gave up a shitload more. A future first rounder, some additional picks and some players. The bears gave up some gambles on starter quality players. I don't like the trade up, but it's not like they neutered themselves. I also don't like the small school kids either, but Pace has had some very decent drafts before, so I got to give him the benefit of the doubt here.

Maybe the lions will sign him to back up stafford? We can always hope...

Lions are done signing "veteran" backups. Only guys we can develop and get draft picks for in future years ala the Patriots.

Really? Were you in on that strategy meeting where the Lions front office discussed this?
