He is. He is a better passer, straight up, and has every bit the clutch ability and drive to win.

Griffin isn't better than Luck. Luck is a REAL QB and has shown progression. He's going to be an elite QB in a matter of a year or two.

Because I'm right? Extend cutler, though. Pay him like he's good. It's not my team that suffers.

Because you have to be stupid to think that Griffin is as good as Luck.

This isn't a trash Cutler thread or defend Cutler thread. We already have a couple of those. It's a "will they re-sign Cutler" thread.

Yes, they will resign him. He will get a Flacco type contract and will be the butt of many jokes. That being said, they won't let him go.

Cutler said in the past that he would be willing to play for a discount. If he was serious then I doubt he will get a Joe Flacco type contract.

Well I didn't know that but all the more reason they resign him with incentives. He's the best QB they've had since McMahon. They're not letting him walk.

They'll resign him on a new 2 year contract with an optional 3rd, then snag a young QB for Trestman to groom outta the draft.

Griffin is a real QB. He can make every throw and is every bit the thrower luck is, and has good field vision. He doesn't have talent around him, but withing 5 years he will be the best in the NFL.

His protection is not an excuse for his play. He makes bad decisions consistently even accounting for mediocre line play.

Brady would be fine despite the line. Forte out of the backfield takes a lot of pressure off a QB and he gets the ball where it needs to be very quickly. It's not that cutler hasn't had anything to work with. He has. He just fucks up consistently.

shut your dirty whore mouth. You have obviously not been paying attention to the Bears oline play for the past 5 years. So once again, shut the fuck up sir, Brady would be Phillip Rivers with the Bears line.

I would put Cutler behind ONLY these QBs

1. Manning
2. Rodgers
3. Brady
4. Brees
5. Roethlisberger
6. Luck

The scrambling QBs such as Wilson, RG3, Kaepernick, etc still need to prove to be able to do what they do consistently without getting injured. Because if they turn into another Vick, they are not as good as Cutler.

I'd lock him up if he keeps playing well this season. If he hit's the FA market what team that needs a QB is better then the Bears?

I think the question should have been....

Are the Bears smart enough to let him go. I mean... It's Jay Cutler were talking about. Dude has shown no ability to win a big game.

You have to be kidding. What has Cutler proven?

What about Matt Ryan, Joe Flaco, Eli Manning, Matt Stafford, Tony Romo? You gotta put down the Kool aid.

Exactly. Cutler is in the same company as those guys. If it was my team I would take those guys over Cutler. You don't have to agree with me.

BTW- Your math is off dude. Didn't both Joe Flacco and Eli Manning win a superbowl?

There are 15-20 guys I take over cutler. I'm not comparing him to Brady. I'm comparing him to tony romo and cam newton. None of them are good.

Pretty high standards there sir. I wouldn't mind debating your list. Cutler is near the bottom 2nd tier imo and my top tier is Brady, P. Manning, and Brees.

Considering he had no real WRs until Marshall got there and a HC whose idea of good offense is to punt I think he's held up okay...no way 14 QBs are ahead of Cutler.
