NC State vs. Arizona might actually be a great game. Pretty decent teams in this tournament. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Tennessee upset over Purdue.

Really solid field. I'm hoping for a Purdue vs. Nova and Arizona vs. SMU semifinal. That would be really intriguing.

Nova vs. Zona would be the more likely final. I'd like to see Nova vs. NC State in the final. Don't think NC State can get by Zona though.

Well usually the beginning of the year is riddled with easy games. Look at Duke. Aside from Michigan State, they've played Elon, Utah Valley, Southern and Furman. Tomorrow, they play Portland State. They get a bit of a challenge when they play either Butler or Texas, but then back at it with South Dakota, St. Francis(PA), Boston College and Evansville.

There's a big difference between playing a team in the low 100's and low 300's. Especially for a team like NC State. There's virtually a zero % chance they lose to a team ranked 300+, but they could very easily lose to a team in the low 100's. NC State has scheduled bad teams in low major leagues.

Purdue struggling with Tennessee. This would be a bad look for the B1G if they don't pull this out. Losing out on an opportunity to play Nova would be a huge blow to their SOS.

There's a big difference between playing a team in the low 100's and low 300's. Especially for a team like NC State. There's virtually a zero % chance they lose to a team ranked 300+, but they could very easily lose to a team in the low 100's. NC State has scheduled bad teams in low major leagues.

Sure, but it's Duke, they're going to be great per usual. If you think the NC State vs. Zona game is going to be competitive because NC State has looked good thus far against that crap schedule, that's quite a leap.

I know that's what I'm saying. Can't fault NC State for their horrid schedule because that's how the beginning of the season is. Usually, good teams play shit teams until conference play.

Agreed, with the way the rest of the B1G has played, it looks like the gap between teams 2 and 3 is pretty sizable. Of course that could change, but NW has looked like crap. Michigan lost to LSU and has looked like crap. Wisconsin is 0-3 against real competition, Iowa can only beat teams ranked in the 300's. Still trying to figure out teams like Maryland and Ohio State.

I'd be surprised if they finished in the top 10 of the ACC this year. Their roster is probably worse than last season and they were a train wreck last year.

Yup and Purdue just doesn't impress me. They can shoot so some days they will look good. But watching them vs Marquette I wasn't impressed. They were just simply too big for us.

If a team has size Purdue has not much to offer
