Lazor is one of two candidates for the Tampa Bay Bucs OC position. Ugh.

According to CML, Lazor is no longer a candidate for the Bucs OC position. Huge sigh of relief.

Why would you be that upset? Where did you guys finish off the season in total off, etc? No knock here - just wondering what UVA fans think about him.

Have to admit, when I see him on camera he definitely has that "UVA look" going on.

Look at the difference in offensive production with Lazor calling the plays as to anything Groh had after Bill Musgrave. Also, the development of Rocco was excellent. Part of the reason VT has become such a solid program can be contributed to staff continunity, and that is what UVa desperately need over the next few years.

I read HD's article over on Disney regarding Lazor. She made it seem like he is still al legit candidate for positions at other places. Is this still true or is she behind the times with her reporting (like most other cases)?

None of the UVa sites are talking about Lazor being a candidate for other NFL positions. Heather Dimwit is rarely right. She may have a scoop this time, but more than likely she is just full of hot air.

FUCKKKK. The Bucs have reached back out to Lazor.

Lazor's the real deal. A really good offensive coach who was recommended by some NFL coaching legends to London. He came in and took a train wreck offense and no real QB experience and made a significant improvement in year 1. In year 2 he had to start with a QB with basically no experience and put together an even more improved offense. Give him another year now with some experienced guys in his system, and I think you'll see another big move to the good.

That said, he is very highly thought of in the League and ultimately that's where he'll end up. I doubt he goes back as a QB coach though. If he gets a shot at an OC spot, he'll likely take it. Wachenheim is the guy who would probably take over - and he turned down an offer to be BC's OC earlier in the year. We'll be okay either way.
