After more research using resources available on the interwebs I've come across a dark horse DE prospect that we should keep our eyes on. A&M's "other" DE, Daeshon Hall. His size and reach are incredible and overall athleticism is solid. He's filled out his frame now to the point he can play with his hand on the ground. His movement and agility on film mirror that of Randy Gregory. He is lean, but strong at the point and has a habit of knifing into the backfield.

I have a feeling this kid is going to go a lot earlier than the internet draft geeks say he will.

good find husker. Rob has a thing for his "rushmen" and values players that get up the field.
There are so many players we as fans know little about. I hope we draft at least 4 players that play defense.

I also hope the first four picks are defense. I am getting excited about the upcoming draft.

Been trying to find some other DE's to get excited about just in case we don't choose one in the first two rounds so I decided to dig a bit deeper into some of the guys I have only glossed over. This guy got me excited about still being able to draft gems in the 3rd round. Probably already on some of your radars, but I never watched him before. Just figured he benefited from having Garrett on the other side of the line.
If we can find a corner and a safety in the first two rounds, get a guy like Hall in the 3rd I think we've set ourselves up to have a real nice roster by the time this season starts. With the depth of this draft, I can see taking advantage of it and trying to move the first pick down to pick up an extra 3rd. Seems like I say that every year, but between Conley, Baker and Jackson, we can nail a difference maker at 28 or even 10 picks later. I love to look forward to draft weekend now and know the brass will come through and snatch quality early and even later.

I'd do back flips if Conley slipped to 28

Still like the Boston College safety in round 4 ( Josh Jackson)
He didn't run a great 40 but has ball instincts, something we've never had an abundance of.

Well Mary Lou, you might have to start stretching to limber up for draft day. Sure, it always depends on the eye of the beholder, but he is likely the 3rd boundary corner off the board. Since none of the group tore it up at the combine, he could still be sitting there for us. Hate to bring them up as all the mock drafts are crap as you know, and it doesn't guarantee anything. But Conley is a name I don't often see taken above our pick. Now, I will add that I feel like there are too many RBs and TEs that have crept up the mocks and have pushed OL and DB down. But there is at least a punchers chance Conley is there at #28.

I feel like I need to watch some tape of this Jackson. If he's got your interest, then it'll be worth while.

Him or Baker works well IMO

I think there is a little more depth in the DB group than DE group. That said, I would like to see Dallas target the best pass rusher on the board at #28. A quality CB can probably be had in the second round. I would then look for a SS in round 3.

I'm all for taking BPA, and the Cowboys have set themselves up well enough to take that approach, but just looking at the depth of the draft I hope to see Dallas target a pass rusher, CB and SS in the 1st 3 rounds. Looking at what might be available at our picks I think there is a good chance our needs and BPA may align in the early rounds.

Theoretically, if a team with a top 10 pick offered their 2nd and third for the 28th would you do it?

I want to know which guy(s) are not for real out of both the Florida Gators and Washington Huskies. This draft is littered with both, and it seems all are being ranked or mocked in the top 4 rounds. I tend to want to believe the players on the Husky squad since they had great results on the field. Not sure who to leave out as I sift over the Gators. I've seen Baker and Jones and like both from Washington. King's combine looked impressive too.

Would have to see who my next ten were and if I'd want to chance loosing all of them. As of now, I think I'd bite.

tough call for me. I'd have to know who they really like players 50 through 100. It sure seems like they should land a day one contributor to the base package.

I'd grab Obi and King and our secondary is overhauled.

I'd like to see the UCLA DE McKinley in the first round, or maybe Watt. Both kids have great motors and seem like great fits to me
