This is a surprise, not because the secondary is playing well, but because Pleasant seemed so popular.

Not sure I recall a Lions' position coach ever being fired mid-season before.

Dolphins had 5 receivers who averaged 3 yards of space per route. 5 players with 9 feet of space! I know our defense lacks talent, but that is completely unacceptable

Tua could underthrow Hill by 6 yards over and over and Hill can come back and get it, and Lions are so lost they can't even get to that point!

Not sure this helps anything but I guess someone had to pay.

Until he was fired he was getting credit for Okudah's growth.

I don't understand this way of thinking and I'm not stating it is your thought process either. We read about this type of accreditation to many position coaches and players under their tutelage. Okudah definitely needed to learn the ropes of being an NFL CB and the pressure was clearly on him for where he was drafted but Slay or any other early draft pick has to feel the same amount of pressure.

Patricia's regime cost many of these player's time and proper coaching.

Shouldn't Pleasant also be discredited for A. O.'s regression and Will Harris not becoming better this year with the time they've had under him? No, A. O. still shows his inability to turn his head and locate the ball - just like in CFB -, labors to flip his hips to turn and run, isn't good in zone coverage whether passing off coverages or receiving his incoming assignment. If you leave A.O. to jam his opponent at the L.O.S. he usually fares better.

I'll never comprehend why DC/AG kept Will Harris. They had to know or at least assume he wasn't likely going to become anything more than a bottom level replacement player. I lost quite a bit of respect for both DC/AG when they kept Harris this season. If their frame of mind was that Harris was going to improve his play with more coaching while in this scheme, then they were sadly misguided.

Aaron Glenn needs to be on notice from here on out.

I understand that he has been working with a bare cupboard regarding all the injuries, however he has shown no adjustments coming out for the second half in ANY game played this year - inclusive of having big leads at halftime against Commander's, Vikings and most recently Dolphins.

I actually said that to myself Sunday watching the second half unfold.

To add to your post, the following is simply ludicrous. I couldn't downsize it as it was unreadable. How in the hell does Tua not record a single aggressive passing attempt during an entire game. Ooops, that didn't work. You'll have to click on the tweet to expand it once it opens up in another tab.

This team desperately needs to draft another outside CB and a Nickel CB in this upcoming draft - and quite possibly find one in Free Agency
