The sad fact is Oklahoma traditionally plays like dog shit in every opening game. It's become so expected that Sooner fans can predict with eerie accuracy what opening games OU will win or possibly lose even before the first snaps take place. That's on the coaching staff. No excuse for it but it is what it is. It's like a guy who can't really fight until he gets some blood shed and then he's hell on wheels. But if the blood that's shed is a broken nose from a knockout punch (like losing to Houston last season) there is no recovery from a bad start. We usually play Texas in our 5th or 6th game so Herman won't have that edge against OU again.

Very true. Would have loved to played them later down the road when the offense finally got going. No excuse though, seems like it always happens. Thought fucking UTEP might take us down one year right out the gate a few seasons ago.
