It really would be beneficial to both the A-Sun and NCAA Tournament if FGCU ended up winning the title. Any other team that wins will be headed to Dayton.

Lipscomb and Upstate were the only teams to beat FGCU in conference play.....they both beat them @FGCU too

So i'd give those 2 a decent shot, everyone else is probably cannon fodder though.

Right now I'd pencil the NEC SWAC and Big West champs in for Dayton

the other one up for grabs depending on tourney results. (Southland looks like a great chance)

This isnt the same UNF from years past. Dallas Moore is a stud and I think the D1 scoring leading in the state of Florida. However they are way too raw around him. I do not we beat JU monday night though so GO OSPREYS!

Side note: I work at and attend UNF

I'd say the MEAC winner is also destined for Dayton as well.

Even if it's NC Central?

Their RPI is 190 but their record certainly looks a lot better than some of the alternatives for those spots, even if their SOS is trash.

Not really sure what they take into account when deciding who the 4 teams battling for 16 seeds in the first 4 are. But i'd maybe guess they go by the record eye test rather than RPI and metrics.

I think its going to depend. If all the favorites win their conference tournaments I can see them still being in Dayton. As an example, I think the committee is more likely to put NC Central in Dayton than a team like Texas Southern. The committee doesn't like to put two HBCU programs in Dayton if they don't have too.

I'd say the NEC is a lock no matter who wins it. Same with Big West. I really think if Texas Southern wins the SWAC they'll forgo Dayton.

The MEAC rep almost always goes to the first four, or gets paired with the overall #1. No raspeck't

Was in Raleigh the other day and they had NCCU's coach, LeVelle Moton, on a prominent radio show. They didn't ask him one question about NCCU's great season, instead they just asked him a shitload of questions about the North Carolina State job. No respect, indeed.

He went to NC Central and now coaches there. He's a great coach and they've had a tremendous season, however that doesn't translate to an ACC level job IMHO.

Also, completely forgot former BC coach Al Skinner was coaching Kennesaw State. Not sure why BC ever fired him, but that's a discussion for a different day.
