Swept by the worst team in the AL back in late May...If they want to prove that there's still any pride to play for, this is their chance for redemption.

It should also be noted that Clevenger is done for the season. Suspended due to some pretty offensive tweets re: the violence in Charlotte.

Excellent start to the series. The Astros also lost to the Angels tonight, so the M's have leapfrogged them in the standings. Miranda has been on a pretty nice run lately, so hopefully he can keep rolling tomorrow and the offense can take advantage of another terrible pitcher at the same time.

It looks like Paxton is back in the groove that he was in before the line drive off his elbow and it was good to see the offense rebound nicely from their quiet homestand. Gotta keep it rolling.

Nice showing from Paxton. One of his better pitched games. We can't drop any games to the Twins, they are not good and the games are crucial.

Paxton is fun to watch when he is throwing like that. Also a good sign to see Cano and Cruz have good nights. They had a rough homestand

You're right I'm soooo happy the Mariners only managed to score 2 runs and lose to a pitcher with an ERA of 6.50 pitching for the worst team in the AL on a day when several teams ahead of them in the WC chase lost. What the hell was I thinking being disappointed by that?
