Coach Mike Zimmer said he wants to get Matt Asiata more touches this week against the Bills.
Zimmer expanded and added that he wants Jerick McKinnon's touches to come down from Week 6. Against the Lions last Sunday, McKinnon out-touched Asiata 17-3 and out-snapped Asiata 48-15. Zimmer wants that to change because Asiata is "dependable," and added that running backs who can't pass-protect can "get the quarterback killed." We take that as a direct reference to the raw McKinnon.

Considering that Bridgewater was more or less ass raped last week, perhaps we should be tapping the brakes just a bit on anointing McKinnon the new starter.

We also have to see which of them (if any) survives the playmaker-injuring Bills.

Maybe that's the true reason he wants Asiata on the field. . If they're going to hurt one of the two, he's offering up the plodder as the sacrificial lamb

Sure. . But when? This week? Next? Wk. 16? 17? And will "starting" mean being on the field more?

unfortunately for me, he doesn't need to be the starter to be my best option... But even with that said he has still been getting the points the past few weeks(at least in my format)...

I hate to say it, but Zimmer makes sense. Same way the Rams felt about Tre Mason. Apparently Mason has turned his pass blocking skills up a notch. Not that I noticed him doing any pass blocking.

Off to the film room!!!

Offered Jordan Reed for McKinnon, 1pt ppr, debating it.

Jared Cook being my other TE.

Man- I like the Jordon Reed side of that deal- assuming you have depth to cover the RB loss.

It's a fair deal, just tough to trade a guy with RB2 upside. Of course McKinnon could easily lay an egg this weekend. I have depth, just no clear cut RB2.
