Thread dedicated to news about other teams in the AFCN. Had been posting this stuff in the Banter thread, but figured it was a better place to have meaningful conversations in.

Ravens let Upshaw go? Thought he was the heir to Suggs' throne?

I think BAL realized Upshaw was not going to be a bigtime edge rusher...not a bad run stopper, but you want more than that from your OLB...Quinn is looking at him at a situational 1 or 2 dwn LB in ATL.

IMO Bosa doesn't fit...if they don't go Stanley at LT, the ORE DE Buckner fits better.

I thought Upshaw showed some promise. But then again, that was only twice a year that I saw him play lol.

Seems like most Ravens made plays vs the Steelers...lol...just not a playmaker...young still...insteresting to see how ATL uses him...they play a 4-3 scheme...but so many hybrid fronts now.

Contract affirms what you're sayin. BAL could have matched that number.

This is crazy. Didn't realize they had such an overhaul. Basically what the Steelers did post-2011/12.

Yep...just decided he was not going to be a pass rusher and they need one. I heard yesterday the Falcons are planning to give him snaps as a 4-3 DE...probably in base and rotate him out in nickel.

Does BAL bounce all the way back to a 9-10 win type team? That's what the article seems to suggest. Better no question, but Idk that they will. The OFC obviously missed the triggerman, but DEF took a big hit as well last yr...Suggs is not going to be the same guy. The Ravens are going to be an interesting team to watch...hopefully MT can figure out how to get at least 1 win vs them this yr.

I think they can be a 9 win team. The defense is still in transition but they have been able to get by with worse as long as the offense is picking up the pace. Letting Osemele go will likely hurt the offense, but should be replaceable.

Yeah...they will need the OFC to click early because imo the DEF will take another year to get back to typical Ravens standard...it probably won't happen they way this staff coaches against BAL, but this should be the year for PIT to sweep the Ravens.
