1) 8 of the last 10 champions spent the entire season ranked in the top-12 of the AP poll.
2) ALL 10 of the previous champions were ranked #4 or higher in the AP poll at one point in the season.
3) 7 of the last 10 champions were ranked #4 or higher in the AP poll going into the tournament.
4) ALL 10 of the previous champions were ranked #11 or higher in the AP poll going in to the tournament.
Uconn in '11 and Florida in '06 are the exceptions. Both started the season unranked.
Only Arizona and Syracuse have been in the top 12 of the AP every week this season.
