.....have two pitchers in one evening go a combined 1 2/3 innings? No? Just me? Well thank you Shelby Miller and Chris Archer. :suds:

I had Miller and Gregerson. Some tasty ratios there. Combined for 3 H, 2 ER and 0 IP.

When that happened to me, I had to punt the pitching stats for that week.

Ouch. I guess the only possible good part about that is that they both left their games before getting lit up like the guys who relieved them did. Not that Miller and Archer aren't capable of shutting teams down, but LAD and AZ are both capable of really swinging the bats.

... and good that both are not perceived to be serious enough to miss a start, being how young they are, that says good to go, to me... (so far) ... but on the flip side, do their managers really want to risk something actually happening next time?

Very True.

I am a little worried about Miller for his next start though. He will probably be able to pitch through it, but will he be effective? He may have a seat on my bench.

It wasn't my team, but a guy in my league had Pettitte and Chris Perez in his lineup Monday night.
Combined for 2.2 innings and a 37.12 ERA and a 6.0 WHIP. Ouch

Samardjiza's line from today isn't much better. Sooooo glad I traded him when I did. He has really fallen off of late.

Sorry Chef.

Looks like Miller is losing his 2 start status next wk with the Wacha call-up and others being pushed back a day.
Makes benching him a lot easier at least. (I was torn)

I don't know...he still may be starting Tuesday. Getting a little confusing at the moment. :what:

Shelby Miller left his start last night against the Dodgers after he was struck in the right elbow by a comebacker off the bat of Carl Crawford in the first inning, but it looks like the Cardinals dodged a bullet.
While Miller suffered an elbow contusion as the result of being hit, he told Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch today that [ame=""]he doesn’t expect to miss a start[/ame]. In fact, he said he feels better today than if he had made it through his start like normal.
Assuming no setbacks, Miller will be ready to start in a big series against the first-place Pirates next week in St. Louis. As Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com [ame=""]notes[/ame], the Cardinals are arranging their rotation against the Cubs this weekend so that ace Adam Wainwright will open the series against the Bucs.

And here's a little more...

Cardinals reshuffle rotation
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(6:25 pm ET) The Cardinals have retooled the rotation for this weekend's series against the Cubs, MLB.com reports.
Lance Lynn will take the mound for Friday's opener, while Michael Wacha will start Saturday. Adam Wainwright will be pushed back to Sunday's series finale. The Cardinals have not announced Tuesday's starter against the Pirates, though Shelby Miller expects to be ready.

:noidea:

So, you're blaming a line drive off his elbow on Miller? smh
