Any word on Daniels?

My brother just told me that he heard Kelly say that Daniels could have went back in. Sounds like positive news.

Kelly said he could have returned but didn't want to risk aggravating it. My guess is it was a slight groin pull but that could be the type of aggravating injury that lingers. He may be able to go but I doubt he'd be 100%. I hope I'm wrong because he looked great when he was in there.

Well, Spond was very good and we lost him. Also, Williams is a bust imo, I've had high expectations for him for years and he just isn't very good.

But yeah, waiting for an update myself. We need Daniels.

Ishaq has shown some improvement, but I think he was a bit over-rated coming out of high school. New York State high school football is nothing to get excited about, there just isn't that deep a pool of players. Williams probably looked like a stud compared to his HS competition and he did look athletic in the All American game (earning him a 5th star by rivals), he seems better suited for a 4-3 rush DE, not a 3-4 OLB or DE. He did make a boneheaded play rushing the QB and then blowing by him instead of breaking down and getting the sack, and the Temple QB took off for about 15 yards. While on the NY high school football rant, thats the word on Jarron Jones too. He played high school ball in upstate NY against inferior competition. He's got the physical attributes, but he lacks a killer instinct and toughness. They tried to spin it as his high school coaches told him to scale the intensity back so as not to hurt the smaller players, but I think you either have the killer instinct or you don't Two years in and the skinny on him is he's built like King Kong but he hits like Fay Wray.

Well we have another big time NY recruit coming in DT Jay Hayes. Lets Hope he breaks the streak of bad NY players on ND.

I do think Jones will be fine at ND. He is only a Soph.

Here are some other that havent done much: Kendall Moore, Anthony Rabasa, Hendrix, Alex Welch(was a 4 star), Stockton, Utupo(I expected big things from him), Josh Atkinson, Koyack(5 star)

And to top it off, he got his two tackles in front of 35,000 fans in a 66,000 seat stadium. You could probably hear a pin drop.
