It’s official, he’s out for the season. Damn this is a hard one. What a great D lineman.

Man I hope he recovers for his sake and his NFL career potential. I know the scouts were very high on him and after the year he was having so far, he was a shoe-in for a first round pick. This is his second knee blowout. I feel very bad for the young man. I hope he can recover and continue to play somehow in the NFL. Kind of reminds me of the Marcus Lattimore deal in a way. Injuries like this really suck.

He was dominant so far this season. One play in the UT game sticks out for me...he pushed their center two yards into the backfield before the RB could even get the ball on a handoff. For only being 285 pounds he was freakishly strong. As long as his surgery is successful, I don't see any reason he wont receover to have a solid career in the NFL.

I'm pretty sure 4 games is less than 30% of the total games Florida will play in this year. He can still get a medical redshirt and come back next year to play. Hightower did that.

I would guess and hope that they will evaluate where he would likely go and base he decision off that. He's not going to be the only one thinking about the two season ending injuries.

doesnt matter where he goes, he will get drafted. and as long as he doesnt try to kill anybody afterward he will eventually make up any difference in pay.

It does matter. Especially if he is injury prone. It's not like Lattimore where he got injured by a hit.
