Angels to Sign Doug Fister

SB Nation's Chris Cotillo reports the Angels have reached a deal with free agent right-hander Doug Fister.

It's a major league deal for Fister, who will join the Angels as soon as he passes his physical. The right-hander also drew interest from the Blue Jays, Giants, Marlins and Mets. The Angels' rotation has been better than expected this year (4.04 ERA over 245 innings) but they still have innings to fill with Tyler Skaggs (oblique) and Garrett Richards (biceps) both on the disabled list. Fister has never been a hard-thrower and sports a lackluster 4.48 ERA over his last two seasons. His fantasy prospects are minimal at best

Offense can hang with anyone, and our bullpen has been down right dominant of late, but that rotation has been brutal.

Teheran is good on the road, but sucks at home.

Dickey has been better than expected, but that's still only average.

Colon sucks.

Folty is either dominant or God awful, no middle ground.

And Garcia was great today, but by and large, bellow average.
