Murray's out of Brisbane, considering surgery
Didnt Agassi have hip surgery too? I know Guga did, but he was not the same after. I thought Andre did too and did well with it.
Serena out now as well.
No Andy, Kei, or Serena
Tough break for all 3, but there is some terrific young talent (not so much from the U.S.) and the tourneys will be good and new stars will be born.
Yeah I love Men's tennis so I'm watching no matter what.
Serena Williams' pursuit of grand slam record on hold, coach explains why
Wawrinka looks like he will come back.
Azarenka still in the custody battle.
Nightmare curse dooms Australian Open
Murray has surgery on hip; eyes Wimbledon
At her age and status I dont blame her. She is playing for legacy only now. No reason to risk getting injured if she is not ready.
If it takes 14 weeks to recover, couldn't there be a chance he returns for the FO (even if he doesn't do any of the Masters 1000 tourneys, but just practices)?
I don't think he cares to return on clay to be honest lol
He's been to 4 straight SFs and a FO Finals. He's very close. 5 FO SFs overall (2011 was the other one).
Here in 2016 he agreed it might be his best surface, and things have changed during his career.
Murray: Clay may be my best surface
From what I heard clay is the most physical surface. Don't think that's the surface to return from Hip Surgery
Look at his W-L % at majors. How consistent is this.
AO: 48-12, 80%
FO: 39-10, 80%
Wimbledon: 57-10, 85%
USO: 44-11, 80%
Yeah, I guess if he weren't coming back from injury, he'd play on it. Good point.
I just hate seeing players not play majors. I understand if they're injured, but it takes some of the enthusiasm away.
