That was less "we had billboards so we liked you" and more "why the hell did a city half-way across the country have billboards saying Go Canucks Go? The Canucks can blow me along with every other team that isn't my favourite team".

I think that article did a lot of writing for something that has a pretty short explanation: We don't need a "Canada's Team". We all, more or less, dislike every other team in the country because we're normal sports fans and don't give a rats ass who wins the Cup if it isn't our team.

Don't think anybody mentioned it here but whenever they cut to crowd shots in the square outside the ACC I couldn't help but notice a few of the signs people were holding seemed to be done by the same graffiti tagger and had big ol' Ford logos in the bottom right corner.
