Before the season there was a lot of talk about the Cowboys cutting or trying to trade Morris. I was against this and thought he was a better player than McFadden. But, McFadden was getting the 2nd team reps and getting 1st team reps when Elliott was out. So a lot thought it meant DMac was the clear #2. It was generally considered a surprise that McFadden was inactive week 1. Personally I felt like McFadden was about done and would have cut him last year instead of the kid they drafted. But there were also some injuries issues and maybe he is now fresh and can still play.

Morris has done a better job of catching the ball since he came to Dallas, but the team still seems to like McFadden (or possibly Smith) better in that role. Morris is my bet to be the better fantasy play if I had to pick, but it isn't as clear as it seems from looking at the inactive list. You can't have all 3 of Elliott, Morris and McFadden active when none play STs. Now that McFadden will be active (If Elliott sits) they will rotate the 2 (possibly 3 with Smith) and go with the hot hand. You aren't likely to see one guy dominate the snaps, but Morris should get the first attempt.
