It completely depends on where he goes.

That's such a broad statement to make.

Economically, Ameer should go. What does he have to prove?

I think Ameer's biggest NFL knock is his speed. He does not have Darren Sproles Speed. I compare him to Sproles because of size.

The median deal in the fifth round should be worth $2,348,800 over four years with a $188,880 signing bonus.

In the sixth round, the median should be a four-year, $2,263,968 deal with a $103,968 signing bonus.

The seventh round, the median should be a four-year, $2,209,628 contract with a $49,628 signing bonus.

Subtract the 3% for the agent, and it is still a lot of money.

Not sure about you, but when I graduated college I had a job for $40,000 and I was on the high end of others in my major and I was one of the lucky ones because I had a job. Compared to the boys and girls in the petroleum industry I was below the low end.

I would have killed for an NFL contract.

He can always go back to school if the NFL does not pan out. If he invests smartly, he can have a good economic future.

My personal thing, I would like Ameer to stay because he can do something pretty unique at Nebraska, but if he chooses to leave(with all those other underclassmen backs leaving) I will understand.

Yea he is not at all concerned about money though.......that's just the thing.

Most people would be, but he is a different guy. He has said as much over and over again.

Mason going now too. Ameer just isn't rated high enough right now imo for him to go.

I figured he would leave for the money, and no one could blame him, but I'm glad he's staying.
