I think the world will see the difference between a well rounded MMA fighter and a KO specialist in the fight. Alvarez should win. After the fight I think McGregor will retire.

I agree. I think Alvarez will win. As far as McGregor retiring, I think he makes too much to retire. He HAS enough money to retire right now but I just don't see him resisting. Plus, I don't think he could retire after a loss. The loss to Diaz in their first fight drove him damn near insane.

You could be right about him not retiring but Dana said there is a McGregor announcement coming after the fight. Dana said that after being asked about the FW belt being held up.

I think McGregor is trying to prove he's the greatest. If he loses to Alvarez the other top LWs are also way ahead of him in wrestling. How would McGregor do against a guy like Khabib?

RE FW: The weight cut is too much for him to do long term in my opinion.

If McGregor were to land a KO shot then he accomplishes his goal of being a two division champ. I think that's why he's still fighting. As long as Alvarez fights smart I think it's a very bad matchup for McGregor.

Punchers chance for Connor. Eddie has been knocked out and weights are close enough that Connors power translates near 100%. Cardio is an issue. Eddie can go 5 easy. Eddie with coach Coleman should play chess out there and if he does, Connor will be on his back getting pounded most the fight. Im with Eddie as long as he fights smart.

Definitely with Coleman in his corner Alveraz will fight smart. This really is IMO his fight to lose.

Conor could have trouble going the distance since he goes balls out the first 2 rounds, though the weight loss might help with his stamina. I also don't think he would EVER "retire" after a loss. Guy's a psychopath. Like @Gooch1034 said- it would drive him insane. He's too insecure and narcissistic.

The misconception was that Conor doest have good cardio. As in at all. Well he didnt in the first Diaz fight. I really think that had a lot to do with his lack of experience in fights that go longer then 2 rounds. He came back, upped his game and went the 5. Though some thought Diaz won, it was a factor in that fight as he looked gassed. Nate has some of the best cardio at that division. Conor, incidentally, walks around at 170. Its going to be a lot of the same in this fight. A guy with great cardio going against a guy with tremendous power, but the differences are these.

1. Eddie hits harder then Nate. He also walks around 170.
2. Connor still doesnt have a lot of experience going past the 2nd round and didnt look that much better in the second fight
3. Eddie has one of the most obsessed coaches in the game and will not do the bravado shit Nate did. In all reality Nate could have submitted Connor again, but he tried to prove something, and lost.
4. If Eddie survives the first 2 rounds, he wins this fight. Connor will try to knock him out early, Connor though not known for his ground game, is relatively hard to take down. He has surprising good take down defense. What you will see is a fight a lot like the Bisping Henderson fight. Eddie has to survive early, and if he does, he wins.

Anyone who has ever wrestled knows that it can be exhausting. Alvarez should be able to dictate where the fight goes and when he does McGregor will not be in a very good position. I think McGregor will spend a lot of energy trying to improve his position. McGregor will be looking to strike from bad positions but the problem is that Alvarez has vicious G n P and he is a lot stronger with his punches than anyone McGregor has fought in the UFC.
Also, In the 2nd Diaz fight remember the McGregor jog he used to give himself a rest. That wont happen in his next fight.

Another factor could be leg kicks from Alvarez when they are standing. Alvarez has underrated kicks that are very powerful. If I were Alvarez I wouldn't spend a lot of time fighting at a distance but when they are Alvarez's kicks could become a factor. McGregor's stance leaves him open to those kicks.

Alvarez has so much confidence. I don't think he is rattled at all by the crowd or McGregor. I think he will perform like a Champ. I respect McGregor for stepping up but I think he's about to get beat down. Alvarez has so much experience, heart, great coaching, & elite training partners. These guys had completely different paths. McGregor has bullied smaller guys in the UFC (besides going 1 W 1 decision vs Nate) Meanwhile Alvarez was fighting more well rounded 155lb fighters.

Correction: I meant to say Nate had 1 Win & 1 decision loss vs McGregor. McGregor has been a lot less impressive than the top LWs.

I wonder if I can be quick/drunk enough to squeeze Miesha Tate's boobs before she submits me.

It may have been a "heat of the moment" thing. She will be back. What else does she have?
