Alltime Team Mashup #2

Here is the next edition of the Alltime Team Mashup.

I thought it would be fun to create two different teams made up of all time greats and have folks choose which starting 5 was better. I tried to make them as balanced as I could and both have some intriguing players that compliment each other well. I also considered match ups between the two teams.

So here are the starting five for each team. It is assumed all players are playing at their highest level during their career.

Team One

PG - John Stockton
SG - Earl Monroe
SF - Rick Barry
PF - Horace Grant
C - Shaq

Team Two

PG - Mark Jackson
SG - Pete Maravich
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Kevin Willis

It is assumed all players are playing at their highest level

At his highest level, Shaq is the best player who ever stepped foot on the NBA court.
The contest suggest playing at their highest level.


Shaq was too lazy, conceited, fat, or unmotivated for a lot of his career.
He spent 60% of his career half-assing it, about 39.9% playing close to his best, and only .01% giving it his highest level of effort.


But, if he was playing at his highest level, he was the #1/#1 best player of all time.
So, team #1 wins easily based on the guidelines.
