I would give Gordon a chance. Low risk, one year signing.

We would have to trade for him as the Browns still own his rights for the next two years. How ever, if the Browns release him he becomes a free agent. Or we could likely obtain his rights for a 4th rounder or less in which case we own him for the next two years of eligibility for roughly $1.1M per year.

Im not against it, if we think we can get him for a 5th and the NFL is going to reinstate him.

I totally agree. I wouldn't risk more than a 4th for him but I do want those 2 cheap years. Then we can franchise him if we have to.

So you wouldnt give the Browns a 5th to lock him in for two years at less than $1m a year against the cap??

no you can get him 1 million year on a 1 year prove it deal why take a chance on a 2 year deal and lose a draft pick

Because a 5th rounder means we dont go into a bidding war for his services with the likes of Dallas, Philly or any other team that migt be in need of another WR. Lets be real, if Gordon can stay out of trouble, a 5th rounder for one of the talent wise top 15 WRs in the league who is still young. Id take two years of Gordon on the field over a draft pick that with Allen running the draft is likely to be gone in two years any way.

i would pass on giveing away a draft pick because he can fuck up again at any time plus your out a 5rd pick and money and if he goes to another team so be it he will probaly go to another team anyways like falcons ,pats a superbowl type team but man if skins can get him jesus christ and if he stays good proyer, gordan quick, doctson, crowder reed, so many miss matches you can do against other teams defense and to top it off if you get a running game going easy a 35 plus point per game offense lol easely

1. If we deal for him and he gets suspended again.. .we dont have to pay him.
2. Im just not overly concerned with the 5th or later pick because for every Alfred Morris, we end up with one or two Baccarri Rambo types that never come close to panning out for us. So I would be fine with giving up a 5th or later round pick for a Josh Gordon.

it would have to be a 2018 pick just in case he gets suspended again we don't lose any picks

Again... IM not really stressing the 5th round pick or later which is all I would expect it to cost. Seriously how confident are you in a 5th or later round pick making roster much less becoming a contributor considering who we have doing the drafting again??

I give you Knoshon Jarrett, Evan Spencer, Austin Reiter, Lache Seastrunk, Ted Bosler, Zak Hocker, Brandon Jenkins, Bacarri Rambo, JAwan JAmison,

My point being that about 70% of our 5th round or later picks either dont make roster or dont really contribute. So I would give up a late rounder for a guy that i can reasonable expect to contribute if he is able to play.

Again, if he isnt reinstated, we still own his next two years of eligibility. For a 5th or later round pick... worth it.

yea but if he is suspended again I will say he is pretty much done and we lost a pick in the process that's why I say trade a 2018 draft pick to be safe that way if it happens we have options to keep the pick or own his rights

He is a REPEATED OFFENDER. Wait until he is released and do a 1 yr deal only

So again, you would rather hope he is released, risk him going to say a division rival.... all to hang onto a 5th round draft pick that will likely be a wash out any way?? The point in using draft picks is to get talented players. Gordon for a 5th and having him for the next two seasons... worth the price of the ticket

While everyone salivates over the prospect of adding Gordon to the team, there's good and bad news that goes with this type of loading up. Let's say that the get the rights to Gordon and that RB is a top priority in this draft, I believe that the main reason for this also includes moving Kirk prior to the draft. In as much as most everyone want them to sign him, I believe that he's Cleveland bound.
