am i correct in saying the draft happens before the skills competition? I really hope they do something wacky with this ... ie with the 10th pick one of the captains points to the stands at some kid in a Penguins jersey and says we pick him and it ends up being Daniel Briere

The "A"s can't be handed out until after the "draft"; they don't know who is on which team yet.
I am guessing that all the players are texting each other trying to lobby for one team or the other. "Hey Nick pick me" "Eric if you get the red jerseys I want to be on your team"

Are you sure? I thought for sure that, at least from what I understood in the Shanny interviews, it was the GROUP that drafted players, not just the C alone.
